2009 Festival: Southbank Centre – Slow Travel

Anxiety over climate change has made Slow Travel not simply an appealing lifestyle choice, but the only option for the environmentally conscious.

Harry Eyres (FT Slow Lane columnist) joins Ed Gillespie (Guardian ‘slow traveller’) on 29th April 2009 to discuss Slow Travel in a speeded-up society, from commuting to global sunseeking. What effects will be caused by the credit crunch and the desire to stay closer to home?
