Slow events at Foyles
Finding time to curl up and concentrate on a good book can be seriously tricky in a city as hectic as London, but independent booksellers Foyles are always willing to lend a hand.
Read on for selected details…and yes, that is a milkfloat!
Three Men in a Float descend on Foyles to talk about Slow as a route to happiness with the uniquely inspiring Bruno Contigiani, founder of The Art of Slow Living. He joins milkfloat enthusiasts Dan Kieran, Ian Vince and Prasanth Visweswaran as they talk about their journey aboard The Mighty One. Watch out for them around London throughout the day as they take Slow travel to the extreme…
Comedian Alex Horne and songstress Annalie Wilson join forces to bring you an evening of Birds, Words & Bicycle Bells in the Café at Foyles, which will provide a fantastic chance to wind down for the evening, combining ingenious humour, beautiful music and cake.
But if wine is more your style, why not join Harry Eyres and David Harvey for a wine themed wander through classical literary history, sampling the wine and words that Heraclitus and Hadrian might have known. Or take the chance to spend an evening with acclaimed pianist Steven Osborne as he celebrates the release of his latest CD with a concert of Rachmaninov in the Gallery.
And throughout the week, Foyles and the Alchemy Centre will be bringing you the opportunity to slow down and stretch out with lunchtime yoga. Take a break in your day to release the morning tension and clear your mind for the afternoon ahead…

I am a big fan of the book, but can’t make the talk! Is it going to streamed or recorded and put online by any chance?
