Slow Down Southbank style
Southbank Centre is hosting a series of events throughout the Slow Down London festival which will give you the opportunity to explore ways in which speed influences and relates to modern lifestyle choices, and to perception in the arts.

Slow Down London patron Carl Honoré begins the series by assessing how slowing down can bring pleasure and meaning to our lives, as he discusses Slow as a State of Mind. He will also be taking a very timely look at how slowness could make the economy more efficient, creative and sustainable.
Over the course of the week, events at Southbank will cover a broad spectrum of slow living, from Craftspace’s exploration of craftsmanship in Slow Arts, to a discussion on how anxiety about climate change has made Slow Travel not just a lifestyle choice, but the only option for the environmentally conscious.
The week is rounded off with the Slow Food Market which will run across the Bank Holiday Weekend, with special deals available and choirs on hand to serenade you during Sunday’s Slow Feast.
