Cycling courtesy of micamica

Sustrans Fresh Air Miles rides, organized by Sustrans Volunteers across the UK, are sponsored rides aimed at encouraging people to get out on their bike, whilst also promoting the work of Sustrans and local cycle routes.

An organised ride will be taking place on 4th May 2009 between Gatwick and Greenwich, divided into 4 stages. The final stage in south London will be approximately 9 miles along National Cycle Route 21: ‘flat-ish urban’ and 40:60 on road:off road. (more…)

From 1-4 May 2009, Southbank Centre Square outside the Royal Festival Hall will be home to the UK’s largest – and London’s only – monthly Slow Food Market.
