The Hidden Green North London walk with the Ramblers (and one of its groups the Metropolitan Walkers) took place on a beautiful Sunday afternoon, on 3 May 2009.  The relaxed atmosphere complemented the lush environment as mothers pushed prams, couples held hands and strangers shared in conversation.  It provided a way for all of us to escape from the pressures of the city and just enjoy London’s often overlooked natural beauty, if only for a few hours.
